First of all, on the day of Guru Purnima, wake up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes.
Place the idol of your presiding deity and guru in front of the worship house and take a vow of worship by bowing.
After this, at the place of worship, by laying white or yellow cloth, establish the idol of your presiding deity, guru and Ved Vyas.
After this, while remembering and worshiping Ganesha, offer roli, sandalwood, fruits and flowers and sweets to all the deities and gurus.
After this, invoke the Guru and chant the mantra 'Guruparampara Siddhayartham Vyas Pujam Karishye'.
